Bank cards
To ensure secure operations with bank cards Novikombank recommends adhering to the following rules:
- you must sign the card on the reverse immediately after you receive it;
- never write your PIN code on the card. Do not keep the PIN code together with the card, and take care when you enter your PIN code at the ATM – nobody else should see it;
- never tell anyone your PIN code;
- take a note of your card number and the Bank’s phone numbers. This information will be helpful in the event of card loss or theft;
- treat your card like cash: never leave it in a car or a hotel room;
- do not forget to take the card after you complete a transaction. Ensure that the returned card belongs to you. Carefully check the accuracy of the amount specified on payment counterfoils;
- pay attention to the ATM location you use, avoiding the use of ATMs located in inadequately lit or deserted places;
- do not allow strangers to observe your cash withdrawal; do not resort to the help of strangers;
- only ever give your card number to reliable partners;
- when you make a purchase by a catalogue, do not give the number of your card by mail on the postcard, which is not enveloped;
- do not use a card which has been declared as stolen or lost;
- keep your payment counterfoils and verify them against card account statements;
- if you suspect that your card/PIN code data has become known by any third party, you must ask the Bank to block and reissue your card, or call the Customer Support Centre (24/7 phone number: +7 495 23 23 7 23);
- minimise use of the card in the countries of the Asia-Pacific region (Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, Australia, Japan, etc.), and also in some resort countries (Bulgaria, Turkey, etc.). If you travel to these countries, the Bank recommends you pay for purchases using your card only in known brand shops, and withdraw cash at airports, international chain hotels or in the branches of well-known large banks;
- Keep all the documents related to card transactions.
Novikombank also recommends that you subscribe to the SMS-information service. It will allow you to monitor transactions in your card account and get information about your account balance.
