Account opening and maintenance
To open an individual account for a citizen of the Russian Federation the applicant should provide the Bank with documents proving the person’s identity. To open an individual account for a foreign citizen or a person without citizenship the applicant should provide the Bank with documents proving identity, with a migration card and/or document confirming the right of the foreign citizen or the person without citizenship to reside in the Russian Federation.
The Bank shall be provided with the originals of the above-stated documents. Documents produced for the opening of an account that are in a foreign language should be accompanied by a translation into Russian certified according to the procedure established by the laws of the Russian Federation.
Methods of account management:
- Instructions on paper.
The instruction is made by providing the Bank with orders (statements) that can be presented on hard copy (in person or by mail) or by fax. - Instructions by fax.
To make instructions by fax the Bank should be provided with a signed ‘AGREEMENT for receipt and execution of payment and other instructions sent by fax to JSCB NOVIKOMBANK’ and standard written instructions. - Instructions through a proxy.
You can manage your account in person or through your proxy. The proxy acts under the power of attorney granted by you. The power of attorney can be granted in the name of one or several persons of adult age.
The rights of the proxy shall be specified by the conditions of the power of attorney, and in the absence of special conditions in the power of attorney – by volume of rights granted to you. The power of attorney can be of a non-recurrent nature, that is to perform any particular action or operation, or of a long-term nature.
The power of attorney should contain the full name of the authorised representative (surname, name and patronymic if applicable), citizenship and permanent residence (the data specifying whether the authorised representative is a resident or non-resident of the Russian Federation), powers of the authorised representative (general description or certain rights listed), date and term of the power of attorney.
The power of attorney can be executed in the Bank in the presence of an authorised representative. The power of attorney executed outside the Bank (including general power of attorney entitling property management) should contain all requisites covered by the Bank form. The power of attorney should be notarised or otherwise certified according to the procedure stipulated by the laws of the Russian Federation, or – in the case of non-resident accounts – by a foreign embassy (or consulate) in the Russian Federation.
