19.01.10. International rating agency Moody’s assigns B2 rating to Novikombank
The international rating agency Moody's Investors Service has assigned a B2 rating to Novikombank with a stable forecast.
The high Moody’s rating reflects Novikombank’s stable strategic position in client relations, which have consistently grown stronger on the basis of cooperation with the Russian Technologies State Corporation and other key partners of the Bank. Moody’s has also taken into account factors of the Bank's positive financial performance, including its high liquidity, stable funding base, high capitalisation, and conservative credit policy.
Novikombank president Ilya Gubin said: “In the current crisis environment, the assignment of a B2 rating is, of course, a major success for the Bank and an acknowledgment of the stability of our business model. In addition, this international rating will help us solidify our position in the banking system and establish ourselves as a competent participant on the world financial market, which is an important element of the Bank’s development strategy.”
For information purposes: Novikombank was established in 1993. Today, it is a solid, rapidly growing financial institution offering a comprehensive range of banking services to its customers. The provision of finance to Russian industrial companies, including defence enterprises, the automobile industry and technology-intensive manufacturers is among the Bank’s priorities. As of 1 January 2010, the Bank’s capital amounts to 6,1 billion roubles, with net assets of 39 billion roubles.
